Bodies: an engaging and educational family excursion into the world of the human body, in the world's oldest exhibition building.

From July 1 to September 24, you can visit the impressive Bodies exhibition at Handelsbeurs Antwerp - the oldest stock exchange building in the world.

This expo takes you on an exciting journey through the human body. With nearly one hundred anatomical specimens of real human bodies, you will learn all about the complexity of human physiology. 

Through the different body systems, learn how the human body functions and what exactly makes us "human. 

Experience the deep synergy between body and mind: our thoughts, breathing, heartbeat, movements and emotions.

Through instructive and spectacular human specimens, discover how we are all identical inside our bodies regardless of religion, culture or creed. 

The Bodies exhibition allows you to better understand the human body. You will learn how organs are connected to the different body systems and the importance of anatomy as a tool for knowledge.

Expo BODIES will be open every day between Saturday, July 1, 2023 and Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Opening Hours

 Monday - Saturday  10 am - 6 pm
 Sundays & Holidays  10 am - 5 pm

Last admission 1h before closing time each time.

BODIES for schools

Between Sept. 4 and 22, the expo will be open for school groups. Start the school year with a trip to the historic Commerce Exchange and take the whole group on a journey through the entire human body.

When is the "Bodies" expo running in Antwerp?

From July 1 to September 24, 2023:

  • Monday to Saturday: from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last admission is always 1 hour before closing time.

Between Sept. 4 and 22, the expo will also be open to schools. All information can be found here.

How do I reach the expo "Bodies" in Antwerp?

The "Bodies" expo runs from July 1 to September 24, 2023 at Handelsbeurs Antwerp. The expo is accessible via Twaalfmaandenstraat (side street Meir) and via Borzestraat 31 (side street Lange Nieuwstraat).

Can I visit BODIES with my class?

Yes! BODIES will be open to schools between Sept. 4 and Sept. 22. All information can be found here.

Is the Bodies expo wheelchair accessible?

The building is wheelchair accessible, via elevator from Q-Park Handelsbeurs and movable wheelchair platform at both entrances.

Can I buy tickets at the box office?

Yes, you can! Check opening days and hours carefully to be sure not to stand in front of a closed door. We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance, that way you are 100% sure there is still room!

How long does an average visit to Bodies take?

The average visit duration is about an hour, but depending on your interest in reading all the available info and dwelling on the exhibits, this may be more or less. You can also set aside time to enjoy the beautiful neo-Gothic architecture of Handelsbeurs Antwerpen, the oldest stock exchange building in the world.
